    We present a novel Speeding Gene Functional Similarity Calculation tool, namely SGFSC. It is bundled with seven gene functional similarity measures which contain five pair wise approaches that are Resnik (1999), Lin(1998), Jiang and Conrath (1997),Pekar and Staab (2002), Wang (2007) and two group wise approaches that are simUI(Gentleman,2006) , simGIC(Pesquita, 2007).
     SGFSC is able to calculate two types of similarity: semantic similarity of GO pairs and the functional similarity of genes or gene products using GO and GOA files. It takes into account the following options:(i) the similarity type to calculate; (ii) the method to use; and (iii) GO type to use. Currently, SGFSC can measure semantic similarity and functional similarity using the GO database and UniProt GO Annotation released in August, 2015. More versions of GO and GOA files will be provide in the future.
    SGFSC has four following functions:
       measuring the similarity between two GO terms.
       measuring the semantic similarity of GO pairs list.
       measuring the functional similarity between two gene products.
        measuring the functional similarity of gene products pairs list.
